Making a commitment to obtain a Chesapeake Bay Retriever puppy shouldn’t be taken lightly. It is a long-term commitment as the average lifespan for a Chesapeake is 8-15 years.
The Chesapeake Bay Retriever is a hardy active breed. The breed requires lots of socialization, basic obedience and a firm but honest owner. If you cannot provide these basic items, then a Chesapeake might not be for you. It is a breed best suited with a job to do – whether it be retrieving the morning paper to retrieving ducks from a blind to obedience work to agility trials. This breeding should produce some wonderful all-around dogs capable of excelling in many different venues. Puppies should have excellent coats and nice substance. They should have wonderful temperaments.
If beautiful were a word to describe a dog, then that would be Rip. He is 24″ to the shoulder and about 85 lbs. He’s sedge in coloring with a very short, coarse coat. He is a nice moving dog – clean coming and going with his strength being his strong rear drive. He covers ground easily and effortlessly, is a strong swimmer, and has a great desire for retrieving. With limited showing, Rip easily earned his AKC Champion title. Along the way he picked up two Best Of Breed wins, over specials, for two 4 point majors. He also has one major towards his Grand Championship.
Named after a villain in the DC Comic Universe, Siren lives up to her name and is a little ball of fire. She is a pretty girl, with a beautiful head & expression. She has a very showy attitude and nice movement. Siren has several points towards her AKC Championship and her Regional Junior dock diving title (JJ-R).
Puppies will be raised in Venice, Florida.

Read is 23″ and 70 lbs. She’s medium brown and has a nice correct coat. She has good substance and a lovely expression. Read easily earned her championship at a year of age. Along the way she garnered a 4 pt and a 5 pt major. She has very nice movement – clean coming and going with good reach and drive. She is a sweet dog who loves to retrieve.

Logan is 24 1/2” and 85 lbs. He’s a rich red-brown color. His coat is very correct – short and crisp with ample undercoat. Logan is a wonderful all-around working dog. We chose him for Nova due to his trainability, tractability, and wonderful temperament.
Logan is currently active in many different venues both UKC and AKC including obedience and agility trials, hunt tests and dock diving. He is a great example of an outgoing and versatile Chesapeake.
In the field, Logan is Owner-handled and trained. He has his AKC Junior Hunter, AKC Senior Hunter and UKC Seasoned Title. He will continue with his training towards his Finished and Master titles.
Nova is 22″ and 60 lbs. She’s medium brown and has a very correct, very course, short coat. She has good substance for her size and a beautiful expression.
In the show ring, Nova has earned herself 10 points including both majors and a Best of Breed win. We hope to finish her championship this year and then start her in some field work.
Nova has had one other litter and the puppies are showing wonderful potential at this time. They are being worked in performance events, used as hunting companions as well as being wonderful family companions.
Puppies will be born and raised in Chatom, Alabama.
